The Challenge: Finding Marketing Clarity for Sustainable Growth
PrintsWell, a leading stationery manufacturer and fulfillment company, has been in business for over 30 years. Originally a retailer, the company transitioned to focus their efforts on becoming a white-label fulfillment provider, supporting designers selling on platforms like Shopify and Etsy.
Despite its organic growth, PrintsWell faced a major challenge: a slowing growth rate, along with a lack of marketing direction and brand clarity. With no dedicated marketing team or strategy, its online presence lacked specialized expertise. Additionally, PrintsWell relied heavily on a small group of influencers for customer acquisition, which raised concerns about long-term scalability.
Hoping to grow its customer base, scale intentionally, and improve brand positioning, CTO Rick Peyton turned to Provisions Group for guidance.
Our Goal
We needed to build a scalable marketing engine to:
- Implement a structured marketing strategy beyond word-of-mouth referrals.
- Upgrade PrintsWell’s website to clearly communicate its brand and value.
- Select and integrate a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to unify marketing and fulfillment.
- Rebrand and consolidate online assets for improved brand clarity, SEO, and CRM alignment.
- Automate marketing processes to boost efficiency and save time.

Solution: Provisions Group worked closely with PrintsWell to create a more effective marketing strategy.
Positioning and Value Proposition Development
- Customer Insights: We began by interviewing and surveying PrintsWell’s top customers to better understand their pain points, preferences, and expectations. This valuable feedback helped us refine the company's brand positioning and value propositions.
- Foundational Positioning: Before diving into the website and CRM migration, we started by redefining PrintsWell’s core positioning and clarifying their value propositions. This foundational work ensured a solid basis for the rest of the transformation.
- StoryBrand Framework: We helped PrintsWell refine its messaging in emails and website copy, positioning itself as the “guide” and helping designers (the heroes) succeed.
Marketing and Website Overhaul
- Rebranding Strategy: We consolidated PrintsWell Fulfillment into PrintsWell.com, eliminating brand confusion and boosting SEO rankings.
- UX and Technical Optimization: We identified several UX issues that were hindering their customers from finding their brand. These issues included the URL, the overall website design, and their technical SEO. We addressed these challenges to ensure that visitors could easily navigate and discover PrintsWell’s offerings.
- Website Redesign: We enhanced PrintsWell’s website with updated copy, visuals, and user experience to reflect the company’s new brand.
CRM and Automation Implementation
- CRM Migration: PrintsWell initially chose Freshsales CRM based on cost but found they weren’t fully utilizing it. We helped transition them to HubSpot, a more user-friendly and scalable CRM that aligned with their marketing and automation needs.
- Seamless Data Migration: Our team ensured a smooth transition with no operational disruptions.
- Automation: We built automated workflows, saving one PrintsWell team member 3-5 hours per week.
Technical Execution and SEO Optimization
- HubSpot Website Development: We built the website directly within HubSpot to minimize the number of technologies involved. This streamlined approach allowed us to manage data more effectively and ensure the cleanest data possible for better marketing insights and decision-making.
- Domain Consolidation: We managed the migration from PrintsWell Fulfillment to PrintsWell.com, ensuring proper redirects and SEO optimizations.
- Content Modernization: We converted 20-30 PDFs into website-friendly content for better accessibility and engagement.
The Results
After implementing our solutions, PrintsWell saw immediate and measurable improvements. Website conversions doubled every single week post-launch. Based on early results, this trend could drive at least $600,000 in additional annual revenue.
Additionally, the company experienced a significant boost in website traffic: prior to the shift, PrintsWell averaged 20,000 visitors per month, with 5,000 coming from organic search and 1,000 from referrals. Since the shift, monthly traffic has soared to an average of 53,000 visitors, with 17,000 coming from organic search and 3,500 from referrals.
Marketing efficiency improved, reducing dependency on influencers and setting the stage for scalable growth. Workflow automation saved 3–5 staff hours per week.
Finally, increased brand clarity spotlights PrintsWell as the go-to fulfillment provider for designers. With a clear identity, optimized digital presence, and integrated workflows, the company is now positioned for continued expansion and long-term success.
Doubled website conversions weekly, potentially adding $600,000 in annual recurring revenue.

“We couldn't have done it without PG. They were with us every step of the way. They really sold us on the rebrand— I don't know that anybody inside the building would have had the political capital to actually make that sale without an outsider's influence.”
